Committees
Helps promote the goals of the chapter by communicating the chapter activities to the members through social media postings and a quarterly newsletter. Responsible for gathering event information and photos for inclusion in publications by working with other committees or attending events.
Works to provide low-cost, effective continuing education on a variety of topics to our members and guests through live presentations at monthly luncheons, semi-annual clusters, and online training platforms. Periodically arranges special CPE sessions such as evening, breakfast, or a topic series. The committee recruits speakers, secures training areas and coordinates the events. Responsible for building and maintaining a database of speakers and topics as well as maintaining compliance with NASBA and Oklahoma Accountancy Board requirements for CPE.
Recruits new chapter members and enhances the value of membership for existing members. Activities include: collaboration with the membership committee of the OSCPA and the chapter administrator to contact potential new candidates; implementation of strategies to increase membership and membership retention; working with the chapter board of directors to optimize dues structure; assisting administrative staff in renewal efforts and dues collection; reporting committee activities and membership trends to the board.

Membership Open House
Provides opportunities for member networking. Helps members build peer networks in their functional area such as audit, tax, industry and governmental accounting. Plans and arranges happy hours and community service projects. Holds family social events such as a bowling night, Driller’s baseball game and Aquarium visit.
Responsible for promoting the future of our CPA profession by soliciting, reviewing, and awarding Oklahoma students who demonstrate leadership in their communities with scholarships for their accounting degrees. Scholarships provided annually.
Develops interactions with students in area colleges and universities to promote accounting and the CPA profession. Participates in accounting organization meetings and makes presentations to students.
